Spirited Away

What is a theme?
A theme is the broad idea, moral or message of a text.

This message may be about life, society or human nature. Themes often explore timeless ideas such as love and evil. Themes are a central idea in a text. They run through the text (such as a novel, poem or film) and often are a lesson or a message for the reader that the composer wishes to stay with the reader after they have viewed, listened to or read the text.
