Lesson Policy
I have enjoyed teaching piano for several years, striving for excellence and
quality results. My goal is to share the joy of music with my students and to build on
their current musical interests as well as stretching their horizons by introducing other
music that they may not otherwise have access to. My hope is that we can have an open
and honest level of communication and if there is ever a problem, no matter how small,
please bring it to my attention.
Tuition Policy
$60.00 - $75.00 per month, depending on the number of lesson days in the month.
(i.e. $15.00/lesson) Tuition payment is due at the first lesson of the month and checks
may be made payable to me.
Cancellations
Approved cancellations are only granted on the first lesson of each month. This
coincides with payment of tuition so that adjustments can be made if necessary. For
example, if a student is aware at the beginning of the month that he/she will be missing a
lesson due to a planned activity such as weddings, graduation, family vacations, etc….,
the student will not be charged for that lesson.
24-hour cancellations and last minute changes are charged for, this includes missing
the first lesson of the month.
Holidays
I will not be teaching on the following holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas
Day, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day. If your lesson
falls on one of these days it will be adjusted for the beginning of the month. You do not
pay for lessons that fall on these holidays. I usually teach during school vacations, but
will let you know in advance.
Storm Policy
Frequently, school and other activities are cancelled on storm days, however by
lesson time in the afternoon and evening the weather has cleared. If I can travel safely, I
will teach lessons on those days. If in doubt as to whether or not lessons are on, please
call me on my cell at (207) 576-2003. If I do have to cancel lessons because of weather, I
will call you and the lesson will be adjusted in the next month’s payment. If you have
