We are in a new age, an age that is marching towards globalisation. All the religions of the world Buddhism, Christianity, Islam talk about one God and brotherhood. But they have not given us the conditions to bring about this unification. But this unification has been made possible by science and technology. With the development in communication we are able to mingle with people of other countries and know about their cultures. We hate war because of the nuclear weapons and that a nuclear war would wipe out human race. Disarmament or total disarmament is the only way to achieve peace. To create a world of peace we must work towards unity and brotherhood. To show us the means, to achieve this goal, Radhakrishnan takes Nepal as an Instance. Nepal was divided into three separate states Bhaktapur, Patan and Kathamandu. Each these states had a separate sovereignty and a private army. But then there arose a Political situation when all these separate sovereignities formed one nation, Nepal. And for this state to survive they must have a sense of belonging sense of contentment and sense of integrity There should also be disbandment of private armies. The manner in which Nepal had been unified as a single nation shows us the way the world can be unified. It is important that people have a sense of contentment. Most people suffer from race discrimination, religious intolerance and as victims of colonial rule. When people suffer from these things in their everyday life, they will not bother about a world order or world authority. Next there must be a sense of belonging. Ideas move the world.
