RUBRIC ASSESSMENTS
Four Assessed Habits - relating to curriculum for the week
Fulfilling all competencies reflects the world class player Realistic Expectations at this stage (The future, but NZ not there YET)

4 Competency Criteria when completing :

Developing = No colour Competent = Red Proficient = Yellow Advanced = Green

Why has it changed?

Focus on development not scores Greater feedback for the player / parent (Scale of can & cant execute) A more positive look, whilst still providing feedback Reflects age related development (New age groups will struggle to achieve green)

PROACTIVE PASSING & ONE TOUCH PLAY RUBRIC ASSESSMENTS

Technique Criteria Key Competence Key Competence Key Competence Key Competence

Effective team play Thinking more than one step ahead

Passes effectively to allow team-mates to receive facing forward or maintain possession

Uses minimum touches to play as quickly as possible (affords teammates more time and space) Passes ahead, through and between players (can thread balls between and behind units of players)

Executes opportunities to perform successful one touch combinations. (wall pass, third man runs, round corner etc.) Varies passing length to reduce predictability in possession (mixes game up)

Maintains high pass completion ratio

Positivity and creativity Attacking and positive mindset

Uses a variety of creative passing techniques to exploit opposition (outside of foot, passing on move, reverse pass, flicks, no-look passing, scoops, round the corner etc.)

Sees and attempts to play the most penetrative passing option at the earliest opportunity

Each criterion is broken down into a set of key competences. Each player must be assessed against each key competence and be given the appropriate colour to reflect their performance: Developing = No colour, Competent = Red, Proficient = Yellow, Advanced = Green Players Name: Age Level:
