HAZARD INDENTIFICATION
Not regarded as a health or environmental hazard under current legislation. Classification (1999/45) Environment Human Health 4 FIRST AID MEASURES In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Place unconscious person on the side in the recovery position and ensure breathing can take place. If respiratory problems persist use artificial respiratory breathing apparatus. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist. Contact lenses should be removed. Irrigate copiously with clean, fresh water, holding the eye lids open, and seek medical advice. Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with appropriate hand lotion to prevent defatting and cracking of skin. Wash off promptly and flush contaminated skin with water. Promptly remove clothing if soaked through and flush skin with water. In the event of ingestion, increase intake of water or milk in order to flush from body. Keep person under observation. Environmental Precautions: DO NOT allow to enter drains or water courses. If the product enters drains or sewers the local water company should be contacted; in case of contamination of streams, rivers or lakes the National Rivers Authority should be contacted. Methods for Cleaning-Up: Absorb in vermiculite, dry sand or earth and place into containers. Wash thoroughly after dealing with a spillage. 7 HANDLING AND STORAGE Keep the container tightly closed. Avoid skin and eye contact. Ventilate well, avoid breathing vapours. Use approved respirator if air contamination is above accepted level. Store in tightly closed original container in a dry, cool and well ventilated place. Avoid container with oxidising agents.
