Natural Gas

There are two different types of energy. There is renewable and non-renewable. Renewable energy is good for the earth and, non-renewable is not good for the earth. One non-renewable energy source is Natural Gas.
This is a diagram showing where Natural Gas is found and the process of Natural Gas collection.

How Does Natural Gas Form?

Plant matter falls into an area where oxygen cant get to it (where it cant breathe) such as a lake or a swamp. Then the lake or swamp is slowly filled with dirt and dead plants or animals. The heat and pressure then turns it into coal, oil or Natural Gas.

How Do We Turn Natural Gas Into Energy?

Before Natural Gas can be turned into gas or fuel for energy, it must be cleaned to remove impurities like water, hydrogen sulfide, helium, hydro carbons and carbon dioxide. This is to create marketable Natural Gas. After, people can use it for energy.

How Does Natural Gas Impact Us?

Natural Gas affects us because we are taking parts away from our planet by digging for these energy sources. The greenhouse gases (from non-renewable energy sources) are creating a blanket around the earth. They are also polluting our earth and making the life of the earth shorter and shorter. This is a Natural Gas plant.

How Does Natural Gas Impact The Environment?

Natural Gas is a fossil fuel and it produces natural gases and global warming. By non-renewable energy affecting the environment they are affecting us in the same way. They are affecting us because if we ruin the earth we cant live on it anymore.

What Affect Does The Production Of Natural Gas Have On The Planet?
We turn Natural Gas into energy in factories. Factories harm our environment due to global warming. Every cloud of black smoke that comes out of factories is causing global warming.

What Are Some Positive Things About Natural Gas?

Some positive things about Natural Gas are: One, Natural Gas is cheaper than coal and oil. Two, It has less carbon dioxide than coal and oil. Three, it is made out of plants and animals.

What Are Some Negative Things About Natural Gas?

Some negative things about Natural Gas are: One, it creates greenhouse gases and global warming. Two, it is non-renewable. Three, we have to dig for it.

What Country Uses Natural Gas the Most?

The country that uses the most Natural Gas is the United States. In 2012 the US used about 25.46 trillion cubic feet of Natural Gas.

What Can We Do To Reduce The Use Of Natural Gas?

We should start using renewable energy like, hydropower, geothermal, wind power, solar power, ocean power and biomass. Hydro power comes from a dam. Geothermal comes from the ground. Wind power comes from wind turbines. Solar power comes from solar panels. Ocean power comes from the ocean, and biomass is from plants. One day we will find the perfect energy source. Cost effective and renewable. But, until then most humans will be using the cheapest energy source which is unfortunately, a non-renewable energy source which is Natural Gas.
