Neonatal nurse
Job Description Full-term and premature newborns that have critical medical problems or considered high-risk will be taken care of by neonatal nurses. While the newborns undergo treatment, Neonatal nurses also work with the patients families. Neonatal nurses are usually employed in health care facilities such as women and childrens clinics, and hospitals, among others. They may provide assistance in many ways: they deliver and transport patients, resuscitate newborns, and teach family members on the care of high-risk neonates. Types Neonatal nurses Level I - consists of care for healthy infants. Level II - consists of caring for premature and sick babies. Level III - consists caring for seriously ill and/or premature babies. This care requires constant and continual care as babies are connected to ventilators and incubators.

You can earn an Associate Degree in about 2 years. An associate degree is typically the minimum requirement for becoming a registered nurse; this will take about 2-3 years of college. Another option is a bachelor's degree which will take 4 years to complete. This would offers more career opportunities, room for advancement, and better salaries. A neonatal nurse must be a registered nurse (RN) with a four-year bachelor of science in nursing degree (BSN).
