What is a Genre?
A kind or category of literary or artistic work with a particular form, content, technique, etc.
Specific expectations carried through reading and

writing A situation (rhetorical) that repeatedly occurs (e.g. text messages, book reviews, menus, resumes, etc.)

What is the purpose? (Why waste a stamp?) What are reader(s) expectations? What is the relationship between writer-
