The Makeup of Matter does Matter! By Isabell! !

! I claim that you can't create or destroy matter. First off, The more mass an object has the more matter it has. Also, Everything is made up of matter. You are made up of matter, and everything you are wearing is made up of matter. However, matter is everywhere. Matter is everywhere you can't avoid it. Furthermore, I claim that matter is in everything. ! The pH chart helped us gure out the pH level of different substances. First off, The pH 14 is the most dangerous. When we mixed baking soda and coffee we ended up with the pH of 14. When we mixed two higher leveled substances the pH turned into a lower pH level. Some substances place levels are effected more than others. When we mixed baking soda and h2o, the pH level was eight. When nada went to the ocean, salt water got in her eyes and her eyes turned red and felt like they were burning. Her tears are going to be a pH level of six, and the salt water would be somewhere between eight and ten. When you are swimming and you get pool water in your mouth, your rst reaction is to spit it put. Chlorine water has a pH of 7.5 and it is not good for your body. We mixed iodine salt and baking soda and it became a pH of twelve. When you mix two substances that have the same pH level, the pH will stay the same. Your saliva in your throat has a pH of ve to six. When you drink a different substance it temporarily changes your pH. My experience is when I drink soda, my mouth gets full of zz, and my saliva is 4.5. When you throw up, your pH level is temporarily changed to one, that's why it hurts your throat. When we were doing the pH tests, all the sodas had citric acid in them and were all a pH of four. When we did the pH tests, all the juice were a pH of three. In conclusion, there are many different pH levels. Our evidence is that it rose based on the fact that when we put in an additional ve cc it rose two degree. Also, in our second and third test it rose only one degrees Celsius . When we put an additional ve cc it also rose one degree. Based on the fact that when we put in the vinegar checking with the experts we have found the we found that the vinegar removed the steel wool Borlaug coating. This allows the iron in the steel wool to rust which is called oxidation. It's a chemical reaction because there's a color change, and there's a new substance. !How does temperature change? I claim that when we put the vinegar with the steel wool the temperature rose. Furnace turns on and heats up the house because of wood, oil, natural gas, geothermal, biomass, or solar energy. When your body digests it creates heat. Your heart pumping action creates heat. In the car when the the engine turns on and warms the car. In conclusion, heat is created in different ways. ! Borlaug, Mendeleev, and Curie were great scientists. Borlaug and his staff in Mexico spent almost 20 years growing wheat that had a high protein content to save people from starvation. Mendeleev Dimitri Mendeleev was the scientist that created the periodic table. Curie discovered radioactivity. She also discovered the elements. These scientists Curie discovered many things. All in all, we cannot live without matter.! ! The periodic table shows many of the elements. Mendeleev was one of the rst people to make the periodic table. The elements are shown by a letter. The periodic table ordered by the atomic number protons. They are grouped by Noble gases, halogens metalloids, alkali, and more. I have researched the element Nitrogen, used knowledge of it to make a layer. All and all, The periodic chart is not nished. We will continue to creat and add new elements to the periodic.!
