ABSTRACT

Biometrics technologies verify identity through characteristics such as fingerprints, faces, irises, retinal patterns, palm prints, voice, hand-written signatures, and so on. These techniques, which use physical data, are receiving attention as a personal authentication method that is more convenient than conventional methods such as a password or ID cards. Biometric personal authentication uses data taken from measurements. Iris recognition has been one of the most efficiently deployed biometric to ensure secure, efficient and expedited processing for broad range of identification application. However for many application cost and usability concerns limited iris attractiveness recent advancements in capture technology, matching algorithm and along with associated reduction in product and deployment cost have made iris enable time and attendance a practical investment companies of every size.
