Upon successful completion of this class, students will be able to:

Follow order of operations including exponents.

Compare rational numbers and place them on a number line.

Solve problems using rational numbers.

Demonstrate understanding of square roots and use in problem solving.

DATA
Use graphs and tables in problem solving.

Use simple probability in problem solving, including simple experiments,


simple and compound events, and complementary/mutually exclusive
events.

Explain sampling and bias.

Explain and use measures of variation.

Organize data in a variety of ways, including histograms, box-and-whisker


plots, scatter plots, and lines of best fit.

Explain counting outcomes.
