BEYOND-THE-BASIC PRODUCTIVITY TOOLS LESSON IDEA: TIMELINES AND CONCEPT MAPS Choose either Timeliner or Inspiration and develop

a lesson idea using the software. Complete all fields in the following template to how you would use this product in your future classroom to help elementary students achieve required learning standards. Note: This template uses the forms feature in MS Word. Select the highlighted text boxes and type over the sample text. Simply click on the boxes to check them. NETS-S Standard 3C: Evaluate and select information sources and digital tools based on the appropriateness to specific tasks Basic Productivity Tool Used: Inspiration Description of how to implement in the class: Students will be using Inspiration to plot out an organized concept map about their Brainstorm of an essay. The essay will be on why or why not uniforms should be worn in schools, and this tool will help students appropriately create a clean map of their opinion. They will then write an essay on their opinion and type it using the correct technology Indicators of Engaged Learning Addressed: The learning tasks are student-directed because each student will create their own opinion and take responsibility for their own learning. They are explorers in this lesson because they have to research and use Inspiration as a new tool.
