On a cartoon, when the character becomes angry, red takes over there body and steam blows out there ears. This is how most people see anger, but anger is a bigger event in the brain. Anger is a strong emotion that is caused by someone or something. This is a very wide answer to what anger really is. Anger causes changed in your brain and your behavior. I knew that Anger has to do with the testostron levels in the brain and that is all I really knew about anger and that is why I wanted to research about this emotion. I want to know: what effect does it have on everyday life, what anger is, what is does to the brain and how it is caused. Also is a part of everyones life, so why do we get angry and how does it affect our brain? The ceberal cortex is the thinking part of the brain where logic and judgemant reside. It is the outer part of the brain and is divided into lobes. Think of the cortex as the strategy center of the brain. The emotional part of the brain is the limbic system. It is located lower in the brain and is considered to be more primitive than the cortex. The limbic system, from lakesideconnect.com, is a set of evelutionarily primitive brain structures located on top of the brainstem and buried under the cortex. Anger is caused when someone or something irritates you. When someone experianves anger they arent using the thinking or cortex part of the brain, but are usin the limbric center of the brain. wrong. Practically anger is an emotion that u feel irratated or annoyed with something or someone. There is internal and external sources of anger. The external sourse of anger are: a person makes personal attacks, attacks our ideas, threatens our needs, or we just get frustrated. Emotional reasoning: People who use emotional reasoning tend to become irritated at something innocent that other people tell them because they perceive it as an attack on themselves. People can have low frustration tolerance, unreasonable expectations, or people-rating. People-rating is an anger-causing type of thinking where the person applies a derogatory label on someone else. It dehumanizes them and makes it easier for them to become angry at the person (stressgroup.com). Anger can have a big effect on someones everyday life. If a person is angry all the time it can effect there social, mental, and physical emotion. Being angry can also cause depression and other things. The most common types of anger : behavioral, passiv, verbal, construvtive, self-inflicted, colative, chronic, judgemental, overwhelming, retaliatory, paranoid, and deliberate anger. The physcal problems that come with anger can be very complecated, you could say. When you become angry, your heart rate, arterail tension and sestostron pruduction increases and your cortisol, which is your stress hormone, decreases. All your logic, emotions, and judgements are at the cerebral cortex of the brain, the emotional part of the brain is the limbic system. When you become angry your emotions take over your logic and judgemental part of the brain.
