Part 1 To start to figuring out the parabolic pattern of the airplane I had to write 3 systems to begin the equation.

I started out with these 3 equations.

Part 2 After figuring out my 3 systems, I had to solve them.

Part 3 Now I had that a=-10, b=685, and c=22315. Using these solutions to the system I could form the quadratic model of the data.

Part 4 After I had completed this model, I solved for x using -b/2a and I came up with34.25. Then I plugged 34.25 in for x.

Part 5 After I had found the maximum, I could find the first two points and graph the parabola.

Part 6 This project helped me to see math in a different way. I have never really enjoyed math very much. I liked this project because it helped me see that math is very useful and applicable in our every day lives. I am going to be more open to learning math and try to remember that it will help me now and in the future.
