Have the subject sit in a quiet room on a chair for 2 minutes doing nothing silently with their feet flat on the floor. 2. After the 2 minute resting period, have the subject take their heart rate using the Instant Heart Rate phone application. Once a rate is derived, record the resting heartbeat in the table. 3. Have the subject insert the earphones which are attached to an iPod into their ears. Once this is done, play the 115bpm version of Fur Elise which represents slow tempo music at a medium volume and have the subject listen quietly without moving or talking. 4. Once the song is complete, have the subject immediately take their heart rate using the Instant Heart Rate phone application. Once a rate is derived, record the heart rate under the appropriate column of the table. 5. Have the subject repeat procedures 1 through 4 with the 175bpm version of Fur Elise which represents average tempo music. 6. Have the subject repeat procedures 1 through 4 with the 235bpm version of Fur Elise which represents fast tempo music. 7. Repeat procedures 1 through 6 on 5 different testers.
