Lani Chung Mr. Nakamura Biology Period 3B 4 August 2012 Design a Flower: Structure Fits Function Explanation The main means that my flower will use in order to attract pollinators is through its bright orange and yellow petals. Because the color mimics the colors of a variety of creatures such as butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees, it has a wide array of available pollinators that can help it to both pollinate and fertilize. In addition, my flower has a sweet aroma which also works to help attract many different animals and insects. Because of the alluring colors and aroma of my flower, it shouldnt have a problem attracting pollinators and fertilizers that can carry pollen to it and other flowers and can also transport seeds through ingestion or by dropping seeds stuck to their bodies.
