TheScramblertakesitsinspirationfromtheseverybikes. TheywerehighlycompetitiveandmostfamouslywereusedbyHollywoodsuperstarSteveMcQueenforpleasure andinfullcompetition.Includingthe1964InternationalSixDayTrial(ISDT)inEastGermany.Webuiltthe Scramblertoevokethatspiritoffreedomandescape,carefreetimeswhenallyouneededwasabikeand somewheretoride.

Performance
FortheScramblerweretunedthe865cceightvalveenginetogiveyoumoretorqueatverylowrevs.Itpeaksata strong68Nmat4750rpmbutkeepsproducingusefulthrustmuchlowerthanthat,with90percentofitstorqueon tapfromaslowas2500rpm.Thepowermaximumis59PS,enoughforyoutogetuptoallkindsoffun.

PoweredbyaspecialversionofourtwincylinderBonnevilleengine,theScramblerisaircooledandstyledlikethe 1960soriginalsyetquietlybristlingwith21stcenturytechnologytoensureit'sefficient,durableandeasytouse. Eachcylinderhasfourvalves,alloperatedbydoubleoverheadcamsmakingforquieteroperation,moreaccurate valvecontrolandhighrevreliability.Andtheexhaustmeetsallnoiseemissionregulationsbutit'sfreebreathing withanotethatgivestheScrambleritsuniquecharacter.Soyougetaprovenandreliableengine,whichisthe mostfuelefficientinourrange. WegavetheScrambleravoiceofitsownwithacrankshaftthatdifferstotheBonnevilleswitha270degreefiring order.Soyougetanencouraging,offbeatsoundfromthosetwinnedhighlevelpipes.

FuelInjection
Itevenlooksasifitcomeswitholdstylecarburettors,butwevedisguisedthethoroughlymodernfuelinjection system,whichalongwiththedoubleoverheadcamsandcontemporaryinternalsmakesthisahighlyfuelefficient, aswellasengagingengine.
