As a student at BYU- Idaho, I will have the opportunity to student teach at a high school during my last semester on campus. Through this I will be able to learn the skills and responsibilities associated with teaching. I also had the opportunity to obtain teaching experience by teaching piano lessons to children. This allowed me to work with younger children and from it I have learned how much I love to teach. I have successfully completed multiple courses in English such as English composition, English literature, and advanced writing and critical thinking. I have also taken many education classes such as history and philosophy of education, development and cognition, and secondary education principles of teaching.
