On the debate I will go with the side that exergames an integral part of physical education curriculum in schools.

I think the benefits will outweigh the negatives. First of all the statement made that Technology has been cited as one of the culprits contributing to physical inactivity and resulting in obesity is not quite right yes in the book a statement was made Fogel et. al. (2010) say that research indicated children are less physically active in part because they spend more of their indoors watching television and playing computer games rather than outside in physical play but I disagree you dont have to be outside to be moving physical the choice on how people spend time is theirs there are other technologies that help children keep physical in their time according to the book such as Exercise equipment such as, treadmills, stair steppers, and stationary bikes, are all technologies devices design to improve fitness as stated by the book. I think that people choose how to use technology either to improve physically or not to. Technology integration has many positive outcomes if it is used appropriately. So towards the integration of exergaming an integral part of physical education curriculum in schools I agree according to the book Mears and Hansen (2009) say that exergaming is video games that provide physical activity or exercise through interactive play. For example in the book they mention some physical educators have found it to be a useful addition to their repertoire of tool (Hicks & Higgings, 2010; Klein &Simmers, 2009). I agree with this statement I think combining games to the additional activities of physical education in schools could be both beneficial and as students play and are entertain they are also doing exercise instead of them being bored and refusing to do any kind of activity involving physical education.

How can you provide assistance with technology to students with special needs in your classroom? There are many special need that required special education. Some of the special needs are an impairment which is an abnormality or loss of function in physical, anatomical, or psychological structure. According to the book when an impairment limits an individual from performing an activity in a manner normally expected for human beings (communicating with others, hearing, movement, manipulating objects so on) It is referred as a disability. Also according to the book a handicap arises when an individual is unable to fulfill the role due to an impairment or disability. There are many needs for special education I will use apps to provide assistance with technology to students with special needs in the classroom such as the app Turn Taker for example uses visual and/ or audio cues to facilitate and or share with an autism disorder, Down syndrome, or other special needs. This app could also help kids with ADHD. I would use that app to help some of the kids to learn how to take turn and share it may be easy for other kids in preschool but in the case of especial education is a great app. I would provide assistive and instructional technology for special needs. For example using no technology by teaching students to use their body in a different manner to minimize the impact of an impairment. Then I would also use low technology use which consist of highlighted markers and organizing systems. Then hightech to use which is more costly like for individuals with mild cognate disabilities used interactive storybooks like the website http://donjonhston.com orhttp://www.learnoutloud.com/ which are websites that read out loud. For individuals with moderate to severe cognitive disabilities I will use Software help teach/reinforce functional skills and videos to enhance acquisition and transfer of functional and community- based behaviors I will use this websites for example http//www.freedomscietific.com which if students qualified can get learning programs, blindness product, and low vision products for free. For students with physical disabilities there are a variety of

websites to ensure that students have a better access to technology like enabling devices at http://enablingdevices.com which offers a variety of resources to help students be better adjusted to technology or used http://www.inteltools.com which is adaptive hardware that provides those with physical disabilities access to curriculum. For example it provides access through alternative keyboards and mouse. For students who have sensory disabilities for example the blind I will use screen readers and for individuals who are visually impaired I will use built in computer screen magnification control panels, and for individuals who are hearing impaired use FM applications systems. For at risk students I will utilize electronic quizzes and other instructional materials that provide immediate feedback on performance like the website Brain Pop http://www.brainpop.com.
