In2012,46.5millionpeople(15.0percent)wereinpoverty.TheUnitedNationsFoodand AgricultureOrganizationestimatesthatnearly870millionpeopleofthe7.1billionpeopleintheworld, oroneineight,weresufferingfromchronicundernourishmentin20102012(EdwardA.Frongilloand MonikaBlossner).Justthink,whatifthesestatisticsgrew?Eventhoughthestriveforfoodiswantedall overtheworld,itishappeninginthecommunitythatwelivein. Ifeverycommunitycanhelpthestarvingproblembydonatingfoodandhousesuppliestolocal foodpantries,thenthestarvationproblemwoulddiminish.Everycommunityhasdifferentsizesof starvationproblemsdependingonthesize.Butallcanbehelpedbythepeoplethathavemoneytohelp orthechancetohelp.Morefooddrivesshouldhappentohelpthecommunitybutifyouhavetoomany

fooddrivesyouwillnotgetasgoodofturnouts.Thebestwayistoeitherhaveaseasonaloryearly fooddrivetobringoutthebestresults.Withthisideathecommunitieswouldlimitstarvationandwoulds starthelpingtheglobalstarvationproblem.Therearemanyotherideasthatcanhelpthefooddriveturn outthough,andourideaswillincreasethetrunoutofourfooddrive. ourowncountryareaffectedbyhunger.Peoplewhoarenotgettingenoughfoodaresuffering,and evendying,fromhungereveryday.Manypeoplefindthatitishardtogetenoughfoodfortheirfamily becausetheyarelivingon$2adaybudgetforfood.Somefamiliesonlyrelyonfoodbanksuppliesasa mainsourceforprovidingfoodforthemselves.Wecameupwithaplantostophunger.Wewillholda fooddrive.Raisingmoneyandholdingfooddrivesarewaystomakesurethatwehelppeopleinneed inourowncommunities..Notonlyisthisfooddriveimportanttous,butitisimportanttothepeople whousethefoodbankssothattheycansurvive.Thisprojecthasmadeushopethatwecanhelpkids whostrugglewithhunger.Wemaynotbeabletostopworldhungercompletely,butwecanmakea differenceinourcommunityandhopefullyraiseawarenesssomorepeoplewhowillwanttocontribute.
