Papillary Layer: -Dermal Papillae are projections that furnish nutrients to the epidermis -Meissners Corpuscles are sensors that respond to light touches Reticular Layer: -Pacinian Corpuscles are sensors that respond to deep stimulation -Eccrine Sweat Glands are not connected to your hair and open directly onto the surface of the skin -sebaceous gland secrete sebum that lubricates the skin -arrector pili are muscles that pull the hair upright -hair are dead keratinized squamous cells that project out of the skin -veins carry deoxygenated blood out of the skin -arteries carry oxygenated blood into the skin Adipose tissue is a layer of fat that connects the skin to the muscle
