A cluster sample of 30 height/inches of exhale data is obtained and the sample mean is 63.2 inches. The sample standard deviation is 6.29 inches. Use a 0.05 significance level to test the claim that the mean of height /inches is equal to 61.1 inches, as is commonly believed. REQUIREMENTS: n= 30 x= 63.2 =0.05 s= 6.2 = 61.1

The hypothesis for proportion and mean were taken from last projects in based of exhale data that my team chose. I calculated the proportion hypothesis from Systematic sample. The data was n=34, x=23, = 0.05 Cl= 0.65. I used the Z=

to calculate the

statistic test. Also, I calculated the p-values because I understand more than critical value. When I compare p value and , p value is greater than . So, I concluded that the claim is failed to reject and insufficient evidence to reject the claim that 65% of exhale data is male. In the hypothesis of the mean, I chose the cluster sample. The data was n= 30 =0.05, = 61.1, x= 63.2, s= 6.29. I used t=

to calculate the statistic test. I calculated p

value and compared with ; then, I concluded that the claim is failed to reject and insufficient evidence to reject the claim that mean height/inches of the exhale data is 61.1 inches. Both hypotheses concluded failed to reject the claim. In the case of proportion, I chose to calculate wit 65%. Also, my hypothesis claim were for two tailed, so it is interesting that both concluded in the same form. In my hypothesis of proportion, my claim was 65% and in my hypothesis for mean the mean was 61.1 inches. The claims in both hypotheses were important to understand in conclusions.
