1. To identify basic words and their meanings like :

Note : Our main motive is that child should be able to recognize and understand basic words. For this use pictures and live examples as much as u can

(i)

Mother, Father , Grandfather , Grandmother, Brother , Sister Family, friends

Ask child about his/her family members , names , occupation etc. Optional: if child has a family photo , encourage him to paste it in his notebook.

(ii)

Basic colours :

Encourage them to tell the color of surrounding objects like tree , leaves , sky, star, moon, pencil , eraser , skin etc.

Able to understand and answer: What is your name ? What is your fathers/mothers/brothers/sisters name ? What is color of sky ?

Ask such relevant ques. related to part 1 and tell them their meanings . Ask for answers and tell them answers like (i) (ii) (iii) My name is Arun My fathers name is Mr. Prakash Kumar. Color of sky is blue.
