Summary of Implementation:
Instructions: Should consist of a 2 paragraph explicit description on how you would implement at least one or two of
these web tools into your daily or weekly lessons

Every week in elementary classrooms, students focus on a list of vocabulary words. They spend the week learning about them and finish by taking an exam. In my classroom, I would reward those students who earned an A on their spelling tests by letting them play vocabulary games on http://www.freerice.com once they have completed the next weeks test. They would be allowed to play for the remainder of the period. This would reward students hard work, motivate others to study and score well, and help those in need. If there were more students than computers, then I would allow them to work in pairs. (To be honest, I can see myself using this website more than what I have listed, but I would need more experience on how to effectively implement it.) SuccessMaker is a valuable tool that is currently being used in classrooms across North Carolina as well as many other states. In my classroom, I would allow students to take turns using the reading and math portions of SuccessMaker. I would want students to use it every day and allow them to alternate which part of the program they completed. I think this would allow more students to have a turn and also prevent boredom. For example, on Monday, Suzy will use the reading portion at the end of the Language Arts period and Johnny will use the math portion during independent work time in math class. Tuesday, vice versa. That way, there would not be too many students trying to use the available computers at the same time.
