Fair Trade Market will benefit
anti"human trafficking efforts in Eastern
North Carolina and around the world.

What is Human Trafficking?
Human Trafficking is Modern Day Slavery and it takes many
forms. Teenaged girls are wooed by traffickers/pimps
pretending to be their "boyfriends, and then are forced into
prostitution. Whole families are enslaved in brick"making
factories in ndia because of a small debt they can't repay.
Farm workers who come to the United States to earn money
for their families are forced to live in deplorable housing, work
inhuman hours, and are not paid fairly.

What is Fair Trade?
Fair Trade certification means that no
slave labor and no child labor was used
in the making of a product. t is exploita-
tion free! Buying Fair Trade products is
a Human Trafficking prevention strategy.
The t!shirts we give away and sell are
100% organic cotton, and are Fair Trade
Certified.

Fair Trade Market at the 5K
All the items sold at our Market are made by people who are
paid a living wage. Some are made by survivors of human
