    Translation POST GRADUATE DEGREE STANDARD

    SECTION A - ENGLISH TO TAMIL

    1. One passage between 150 and 250 words of Business correspondence or official Correspondence or Government Orders (50 Marks) 2. One Prose Passage Between 200 and 250 words from the speeches or writings of well know authors (50 Marks) 3. One news report of current general interest in about 100 words (30 Marks) 4. A list of 10 words drawn from representative administrative legal and business terms to be given equivalents in Tamil (10 Marks) 5. A list of 10 purely Scientific and technical terms to be given equivalents in Tamil (10 Marks) Note : (Sex, Religion, Crime, Politics or any Topic which might be polemical or objectionable must be avoided).
