Course expectation and description

I am your teacher Mr. Miller. I have been teaching at this school for past five years. I went to Old Dominion University for 6 and received a masters in for teaching social studies at a high school level.

SoL Expectation
The student will be able to give the significance and general location of all significant world powers since The 16th Century.

SoL Expectations
Identify key points of the Renaissance by: Listing major artistic, literary, and intellectual ideas along with the major contributor of each field. Along with its birth place general area it spread to and reasons for both.

SoL Expectations
Give a general area of where each of the five major religions are located during the 16th century.

List major trade patterns during the 16th century, where they ran through and to, what was traded on them, and their importance.

List and explain the importance of major technological and scientific innovation during the 16th century along with their county of origin

Cause and effect of major changes to western Christianity (ie: European Christianity) along with the beliefs in major players of the reformation. Along with major economic, political, and theological issues involved in the Reformation and the effect of the printing press.
