ndice YOTALA Yotala fue fundado el 18 de Noviembre de 1912 bajo la presidencia de Eleodoro Villazn.

Yotala localiza en la regin nor-oriental del departamento de Chuquisaca, es una pequea ciudad colonial con calles estrechas y empedradas y una plaza central, donde los pobladores se renen. El evento folklrico-religioso ms importante que se celebra anualmente en el 30 de agosto en la fiesta de Santa Rosa. Los pobladores tambin se dedican a la agricultura y ganadera. El clima de esta zona es clido y hmedo. AGRICULTURA Y GANADERA La actividad agrcola est compuesto por cultivos anuales, principalmente hortalizas como por ejemplo: lechuga, rbano, remolacha, la coliflor, el repollo, la cebolla y las zanahorias y algunas frutas de clima clido, como los ctricos, palta y uva. La ganadera se centra principalmente en vacas, cabras y ovejas. Entre los animales que se encuentran en la zona, son el len andino, el zorro, comadreja, vizcacha, serpiente de cascabel, el cndor, loro, bho grande y perdiz.

GASTRONOMA

La Gastronoma en Yotala es conocido por ser muy rica y variada , comenzando con el cerdo asado, refrescos hechos de tamarindo y otras frutas , pan especial de Yotala FESTIVIDADES La ciudad se llena de vida durante el Carnaval que se celebra el primer sbado antes del Mircoles de Ceniza. Yotala tambin es el lugar de celebracin de la Fiesta de la Virgen de Santa Rosa, patrona de la regin y se celebrada el 30 de agosto.

Yotala is located in the north-eastern region of the department of Chuquisaca,it is a small colonial town with narrow cobbled streets and a central plaza where people gather. The most important folkloric-religious event is celebrated annually on the 30 th of August in the feast of Santa Rosa. Also the population is engaged in agriculture and livestock. The climate of this area is hot and humid. AGRICULTURA Y GANADERA

Agricultural activity consists of annual, mainly vegetables for example: lettuce, radish, beets, cauliflower, cabbage, onions and carrots. and a few warm-climate fruits such as citrus, avocado, and grape.

Livestock is mostly centred on cattle, goats and sheep. Amongst the animals found in the area, are the Andean lion, fox, possum, viscacha, rattlesnake, the condor, parrot, big owl and partridge. GASTRONOMA

The Gastronomy in Yotala is known to be very tasty and varied, starting with the roast pig , soft drinks made out of tamarind and other fruits, special bread from Yotala FESTIVIDADES The town comes alive during Carnaval, that held on the first Saturday before Ash Wednesday, Yotala is also the venue for the Festival of the Virgen of Santa Rosa, the patron saint of the regin, this celebration is held on August 30th.
