Date(s): Prior to matriculation
Activity: Students will supply portfolio of artwork to faculty to review and complete an interview for the purpose of making
recommendations for types of courses. Transcripts, recommendations and other application materials will be reviewed.
Method of Documentation Used: Physical and Electronic portfolios, transcripts, written evaluation of audition/interview.
Participants: Studio Art Faculty and Art Education Faculty
Responsible Party: Graduate Art Education Coordinator, Studio Art Coordinator, and Art and Design Faculty as designated for
review team, Graduate Admissions Committee.
A2. Intake Review (Degree Program Faculty):
Date Of Review: Monthly reviews of applying students.
Data Used: Student portfolios of artwork, transcripts, recommendations.
Key Observations: Determination of strengths and weaknesses and acceptance into the program.
Actions Taken: Recommendations for acceptance or rejection.
Participants: Graduate Art Education Faculty
Responsible Party: Graduate Art Education Coordinator, Dean of Graduate Studies

Activity: Faculty assessment of mid-term progress towards course objectives.
Method of Documentation Used: Traditional exams, portfolio reviews and rating/adjudication forms, participation rubric,
attendance.
Participants: Graduate MEd Art Education students
Responsible Party: Graduate Art Education Coordinator
