Differentiated Instruction Flipped Classroom Module Eboni M.

Introduction With the improvement of international education standards, certain changes have to be brought in order to provide young students with the education that they deserve. Flipped classroom is one of the new strategies that have provided instructional procedures a new way of application. The flipped classroom technique is the technique in which the instructors put the lectures and other forms of written instruction on an online link that the students can access and read. This gives the instructors more time to mix with the students and help them complete the tasks given in class, thus making instruction more effective. The instructional module for the flipped classroom provides a detailed approach to applying the concept of a flipped classroom within an educational institution. This paper shall discuss some modification to the module and shall provide the necessary recommendations so that the module can be used to implement a more effective flipped classroom technique. Content The content of the module included information regarding the software, hardware, equipment and other related stuff for the completion of the flipped class room project. The module primarily presented the types of instruction that an educational institution could provide online and the implementation processes associated with its provision. The content of the module also included several videos that expressed the importance of the use of flipped classrooms within educational institutions. The content did little to explain how to implement the instructions that the instruction module was talking about. There was no description for the suggested instructional description.

The content of the module can therefore get several things edited. The content of the whole module can be divided into categories with some categories providing information regarding the tools that are required and enlisting one by one to provide a more detailed view. The instruction strategies can get a little more regarding their application within the actual classrooms. The strategies themselves can come as headings and additional detailed information regarding the application of such strategies can come as paragraphs underneath. The types of instruction strategies can include other implementation strategies that can aid the reading teachers with required amount of knowledge for the completion of the application process of such strategies. The content of the module can also include teacher related issues and instructor feedback and FAQs that can aid the readers in understanding the whole implementation process of the flipped classroom technique to a greater extent. Instructional content The instructional content of the module can undergo several changes as well. The current instructional module provides information regarding different strategies that the teachers and instructors can utilize to implement the flipped classroom technique however, there is solid instructional section that provides step-by-step instructions to the teachers. The instructional content can include detailed steps of the implementation process and can include information regarding the technical aspects of the implementation technique as well. For example, the module can provide the teachers with information regarding the commonly faced problems by other teachers so that they can be better aware of the possible situations when they arrive. The content of the module can also assist the teachers by providing solutions to the problems it mentions. [Shimamoto, N D.]

The instructional module can provide differentiated instructional strategies as well. For example, if the module provides a total of 7 strategies for the implementation process, under each strategy the module can include additional information to provide the users with the information regarding when to use those strategies. This shall specify the strategies under given conditions i.e. the behavioral aspects of the class and the learning capabilities of the class. The module can therefore provide several other pieces of information regarding the techniques it suggests as well. For each technique, it can also suggest the optimum time of application so that the teachers and the instructors get a better look at the situations that they are about to face when they apply the flipped classroom method. End product The module with its detailed provision of information regarding the completion of the flipped classroom technique fails to provide any information related to what the teachers and instructors might expect when it comes to the determination of the effectiveness of the applied strategies i.e. the benefits that the flipped classroom technique has provided them with. The module can include statistical information regarding the effectiveness of each technique by including information regarding the extent to which the students benefit from the flipped class room technique and to what extent their attention deviates from the actual reason of conducting a classroom session. The end-product information shall provide the instructors with the idea as to how each strategy shall end and how each strategy shall make the students respond. This shall help the instructors choose the right strategy in the first place. The second recommendation for the module regarding this aspect of instruction is that a determination criterion and methodology should be explained to the instructors so that they can assess the effectiveness of the flipped classroom technique themselves. This shall help them

appreciate fully, the usefulness of this technical aspect and shall help them explore new ways into the whole application process. The instructors, by using these end-product analysis strategies, shall be able to determine better implementation which in turn shall enhance their ability to choose the right type of application strategy in the first place in order to avoid any confusion and delay in teaching in the future. Learning styles The concept of flipped classrooms is beneficial for advanced learning strategies and for the completion of several instructional goals that educational institutions have. The module of the flipped classrooms can provide additional information regarding learning styles to the members of educational institutions as well to improve their methodology of application. However, even with the extreme effectiveness of the flipped classroom technique, there are some changes in class room instruction that can provide the students and the instructors with the necessary boost to reach their respective educational goals. Firstly, a periodic change in teaching habits (even with flipped classroom techniques) can be utilized within the classrooms and the instructors can make sure that the students get enough information out of the stuff that their instructors are teaching. Secondly, a change in the classroom climate is also beneficial as the students, when experiencing change within the classroom, shall get more involved in the activities that go on around within the classrooms. Within the module, recommendations regarding the amalgamation of teaching strategies with the flipped classroom technique can be utilized in order to provide students with the necessary changes they require in teaching patterns in order to listen and learn effectively within controlled educational institutions.

The instructors can also research upon international teaching standards and the techniques that are used in other countries and are proven to be successful, and include them into their own instructional techniques so that their teaching methodology stays up-to-date and helps their students benefit from their instruction to a greater extent. In this paper various modifications to the module that could be implemented were discussed. These modifications shall not only allow the module to be implemented more effectively but shall enhance each and every aspect of this technique providing the students with an entirely unique and new learning experience. Furthermore, the module of the flipped classroom shall enhance and improve the methodology of application that is used. Moreover, it shall aid the educational institutions by providing information and vast knowledge regarding the learning styles and techniques that these institutions can approach.
