Wit is the ability to use words in amusing way. 5. Wit and Humour is taken from the novel The House Holder authored by Ruth Prawer Jhabvala. 6. Prem is a college lecturer 7. The college is headed by the pompous Mr.Khanna, Principal. 8. Mr.Chaddha history professor, a cantankerous old man who spends much of his time to impress Mr.Khanna 9. Mr.Khanna lives on the campus with his bossy wife Mrs.Khanna 10. A tea party was arranged by Mr.Khanna in the College. 11. Indu and Prem were invited to the tea party. 12. Indu wore her best sari a lilac colored georgette 13. Indus jewellery includes heavy necklace, long earrings & twelve gold bangles. 14. Indu usually wears only cotton saris at home. 15. Only there are two people in the party who ate with better appetite Mr and Mrs. Khanna. 35. Prem felt very uneasy because of his wife Indu overeating. 36. Mr.Chaddha thanked Mr.Khanna at the end of the party.
