Preface: This portfolio is a compilation of the work completed during August 2012December 2013 in the Masters of Education program

for Averett University. I dedicate this degree to my daughter, Nevaeh. My love for her encouraged me to continue my education in hopes that she will pursue greatness in her future endeavors. I am grateful to God for strengthening me when I was weak. There were times when I thought that I wanted to quit, but God answered my every prayer and His grace carried me through. I would like to thank my mother, Phyllis Carleton, who has always encouraged me. Words cannot fully express the amount of gratitude and love that I have for her. She helped spark my imagination and feed my love of reading. Lastly, I must thank my husband. He has been my biggest supporter, and continually kept me going when I wanted to stop.
