The Goals of the Academy are as follows

To make serious efforts for the promotion and propagation of Urdu language and literature.
To make a linguistic co-ordination among Urdu Odia & writers of other languages.
To co-ordinate the literary activities of writers of Urdu and other languages through
mushairas, seminars, symposia and conferences.
To honour the eminent Urdu writers, poets, journalists of Odisha and of other states as
well by giving the NAJMI AWARD every year. NAJMI AWARD is also given to
prominent writers of other languages, social activists, philanthropists, educationists
and persons belonging to different walks of life.
To translate into Urdu the literary works of other languages and to get them published.
To undertake different training programmes in different educational fields.
To undertake various programmes for improvement of social conditions of the people
and conducting seminars / workshops, etc and providing a forum for discussion of the
problems faced by common people living in Odisha.
To develop various forms of cultural programmes with a view to generate interests in
the minds of the common people mainly the young mass by which the basic values and
moral perceptions can be instilled permanently.
To provide educational scholarships and financial assistance to deserving students in Odisha.
To establish a permanent educational endowment fund to support various educational
projects in Odisha.
To provide up-to-date information to youth regarding various government and non
government schemes for education & employment purpose and to establish link with
other organizations in India devoted to similar aims and objects.

Najmi Academy is seeking partners for the noble purpose and requests you to join with us. At
the same time we also request the intellectual class, the youth, students, philanthropists and
social activists, educationists, eminent writers, poets, journalists and other people belonging to
different walks of life to join hands whole heartedly to make the Academy strong and
