Our Solar System is awesome and unique !esumen de la unidad The sixth grade students will make different models as well as brochures that show the positions and sizes of the planets that made up the Solar System. They will complete a survey in which they will write down the information that they remember about the Solar System. Then, the students and the English Teacher will discuss relevant information about the Solar System. Later, They will watch a video about the Solar System, by using this video they will complete a mind map of the solar system. t is important to point out that they will complete several worksheets that are related to the topic discussed. !sing all this information ac"uired the Sixth grade students are going to make different models of the Solar System and a brochure about the Solar System. The sixth grade students will make a Solar System model. or our pro!ect% "i#e groups o" "i#e students will take their knowledge o" our solar system and create a '(dimensional model o" it. The planets should be in the correct order and be relati#ely proportioned to each other )example* Mars should not be bigger than +upiter,. The sun should be included as part o" the solar system. -ll planets should be clearly labeled in some way. This is a pro!ect meant to not only see how students #iew the solar system% but to also showcase their creati#ity. Students are encouraged to use color and to get creati#e while learning. &ach group will ha#e to present their pro!ect to the class% so they should come prepared to discuss how their '(. solar system model was created and be able to discuss a little about each planet.
The sixth grade students should know how to read and write in &nglish$ besides% they should manage #ocabulary about the Solar System$ "inally% they should be able to recogni/e the planets that make up the Solar System.
