Dont Step on the M Objective: To determine how many people step on the M on the day within a given period.

Factors: Gender Levels: Male, Female Terms: Time Period 8a.m.-8p.m, only those walking in path of the M Randomization: 72 possible time periods/day, 217 total periods, randomly select 24 Response Variable: Number of people walking over the M Null Hypothesis: No difference between days or gender Limiting Factors: Time to execute/analyze data (10 days) Ways for Improvement: Randomize over school year (or at least an entire month), putting more emphasis to the weather & breaks Modeling Data: Tally over each day, present results of each day based on gender and totals for each day (w/ disclaimed that the time constraint didnt allow for us to randomize days). Also, take overall total & gender based totals. Then perform ANOVA, Confidence Interval, Box Plots, linear regression analysis across day, Residual tests. Error Sources: Human Error (Counting, Groups Walking, Discerning whats across vs stepped on), Not Randomizing Days of Experiment, Time Period Limits, Assignment of Experimenters (limited by class schedules), determining gender, Weather/University Events/School Tours/& Other Nuisance Factors, Biking & Skateboarding observations excluded.
