Al Capone was born in 1889, to poor immigrant parents, in Brooklyn, New York. He is now the most infamous gangster every to have lived in the United States of America! During the height of prohibition and the start of the Economic Boom in 1920 Capone dominated the organized crime scene. He was running a multimillion dollar operation which involved; bootlegging, prostitution and gambling. As well as this Al Capone was responsible for many brutal acts of violence, which were mainly against other gangsters! The most famous act of violence happened in 1929. It was the highly famous St Valentines Day Massacre in which he ordered the assassination of 7 of his rivals! There was never any charges against Capone until 1931, when he got sent to prison for 6 and a half years, for tax evasion. He died in 1947, about 10 years after he was released, however he wasnt forgotten. Al Capones life captured the publics imagination and many American
