School Social Work

Washington County Public Schools Social Workers are Licensed Social Work professionals providing families with a home/ school connection. Focusing on academic achievement, your schools Social Worker can provide services through family involvement, community outreach, and bridging between educators, administrators, and families. Emphasis will be on improving behavior and attendance in order to increase academic success for all of our students.

Utilizing expertise to ensure success Linking families and students to community resources Communicating school progress and achievement directly to families Providing support during conflict and crisis Meeting individually with caregivers and students Assisting schools and families in understanding all perspectives Building and providing communication in order to advocate for each child Working together to promote each childs success

By building on family strengths, through social work intervention, students will be supported in academic achievement.
