NYC 2009
Two students are headed to Broadway
This summer, CYDP students Reina Bass, Alanna Logan, Anna Workman, and
Caroline Workman attended the American Tap Dance Festival in New York City.
These talented young dancers were invited to dance for the choreographers at the
workshop during a lunch box demonstration. After performing their routine

“A’Capella”, Caroline and Alanna were invited to audition for Broadway’s Tony Award-
winning musical, Billy Elliot. After three weeks of intensive summer camp, training,
and travel back and forth for callbacks, our dancers have made it to the final callback,
which could ultimately land them a spot in the show. We are all very proud of our
dancers. This is one of the many major accomplishments our studio has seen over
the past thirty five years.

2009-2010 Summer intensive training camp

Our three week summer camp was a huge success. With over 75 students in
FALL REGISTRATION attendance, classes were held in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, salsa, and acting.

schoolofdance.com El Mundo Newspaper invited us to perform a Michael Jackson tribute at Fenway
Park for Latino Family Day on August 2nd. It was a huge event sponsored by
Celebrating Comcast, attracting over 10,000 people for a myriad of activities to raise health
awareness in the Latino community, and of course, to be entertained. Our dancers
35 years! shared the stage with Daddy Yankee and Victor Manuelle. To catch their tribute
