Lesson 7: Helping Verbs

Sometimes sentences use has or have to show past tense. Has and have are called helping verbs

Helping Verbs
1. Use the helping verb has with a singular noun in the subject and with he, she, or it.
Examples: Jamisen has played the game. She has enjoyed it.

Helping verbs
2. Use the helping verb have with a plural noun in the subject and with I, you, we, they. Examples: The boys have helped him. We have watched.
