A typical day in your life

The buzzing sound of the alarm clock breaks my shallow sleep as I tiredly open my eyes to read the time. Its half past eight in the morning and I am already late on my schedule. Its going to be a laborious day for me. I have been working for this big day for the last three days, and now it has finally arrived. It is the day of my semester final examination. A sense of fear as well as excitement is flowing inside my body as I kept lying in my bed thinking about all the things I am going to do today. I only slept for three hours last night as I studied for my examination all night. My body is craving for another hour of sleep, but I know I cannot afford that luxury, especially today. Fighting against my bodys desire, I finally left my bed and started getting ready to for my university. I freshened up, got dressed and headed to the door to get out my house. Just as I was about to leave my house, Mom came in between me and the door. Before I could tell her to move out of my way, she stuffed a piece of bread in my mouth. As I stood there in front of her in complete rage and frustration, she started shouting at me for not having my breakfast. I was really getting late for my exam, so I decided not to break my silence and ignore all of hers countless issue about me. I realized its meaningless to debate about all these silly matters at this moment of time. So, I quietly and quickly finished the bread and finally left the house. My exam is about to start in one hour and I am still standing outside my house, beside the street waiting an available transportation. Twenty minutes has gone by, and still no sign of a single taxi cab. It was very unusual because normally it never takes that long. At that very moment, a rush of pure disgust and agony filled my heart, as I realized that today the city is having some sort of transportation strike for some stupid political reasons of which I do not have any knowledge. I was feeling angrier on myself then on those politicians who called the strike, because I knew about this strike before but it complete slipped my mind. I knew I was in a big problem, until and unless a miracles takes place at that very moment. There is no way I was going to get to my university in time. All my hard work of the last three days would go in vein. As I was about to give up all my hope and return back home, I noticed a police vehicle patrolling the area with half a dozen policemen inside the car. As desperate times calls for desperate measures, I decided go over to those policemen and ask for their aid. I was feeling a bit nervous as I never talked with a policemen before.

But I barely had any other options and I thought its worth a shot. So, without wasting any more time, I rushed towards the policemen and plead for their help. An Officer approached me asked me what had happened. I quickly explained him everything and requested him to give me a ride to my university. He stared at me for few seconds, and then said, Ok, get in the car. Those few words were like music to my ears, as I got a glimpse of hope that I could still save this day from a complete disaster. The officer started his car and I literally jumped in the back seat. On my way to my university, I kept on thanking the Officer for helping and told them how grateful I was to him. The roads were clear with very few traffics and my ride to the university was a fairly smooth one. It took only 20 minutes for us to arrive at the university. Once again I thanks the officer and his men for helping at that critical moment. They wished me all the best for my examination and left for their duties. So, finally I arrived in my examination hall and ironically I was 15 minutes early. And as I was quietly sitting in my exam hall, waiting for the question paper, I realized how unpredictable and unusually exciting the day was for me. A day that quite easily could have gone horrible wrong for me, has turned right in the end. And thats just another typical day in my life, filled with exiting moments and memories.
