EMERGENCY is recruiting specialized staff for the following positions at the Salam Centre for Cardiac Surgery in Khartoum, SUDAN: - CARDIAC ANAESTHETIST - CARDIAC SURGEON - CARDIOLOGIST, ECHOCARDIOGRAPHIST, EMODINAMIST - PHYSICIAN (INTERNAL MEDICINE) - MEDICAL LAB TECHNICIAN - PERFUSIONIST - PHYSIOTHERAPIST - X-RAY TECHNICIAN - NURSE (OPERATING THEATRE/SCRUB, ICU, CATH LAB, CARDIAC SURGERY WARD) - BIOMEDICAL TECHNICIAN

For specific projects EMERGENCY uses resident physicians (specialty registrars - UK) in Anaesthesia, Cardiology, General Surgery, Obstetrics/Gynaecology (female staff only) and Paediatrics.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: relevant professional experience in hospital settings; ability to follow standardized clinical working procedures and safety protocols as defined by EMERGENCY; ability to train local staff; well-disposed towards local cultures; minimum availability 6 months; good spoken and written English (or French for Central African Republic).
