General Focus of the Plan: Researching/Infusing technology in to the elementary curriculum.

Specific Goal(s) (Written in a manner that allows for progress to be noted.): More closely utilize technology included in our music series, and adapt/add to lessons for elementary. Develop an elementary curriculum for technology use and keyboarding skills. Rational for the Plan:Presently using tech. minimally with 2nd grade - need to ramp up all elementary classes. What student learning concerns will this plan address and what data is used for analyzing the goals and progress: A learning concern is that a range of students may not have necessary skills. I have to see what my students' background knowledge is, and what I'll need to teach in addition to to applying it to our current learning. A measurable factor will be whether students need to be taught tech. skills first and how much they they can apply to new units. How does this plan relate to building and/or district student achievement goals and district career development goals? Our district is a technology leader. I am certain of this because of conversation with colleagues in the conference, and living in another area with awareness of what those schools are doing. We have boosted our 5-8 students with our 1:1, and now I need to work to enrich and enhance the rest of my course load. How will the strategies and activities in this plan lead toward accomplishment of the goal?

Strategies/activities will help me grow in awareness of what my elementary students know and can do, and what steps I need to take to move them forward. This will help them in both music and their classroom settings.This will be measurable in that I can track how many of my plans utilize tech. and monitor that I grow in implementation over each trimester.
