Adjust the needle eye so that the loop opening is to the left and insert a rubber nipple into the eye from the back.

The washout (cut-out) should face forward. Tighten the wing nut again.

Move the needle into position and press it onto the armature bar.

Put two rubber bands around the whole machine and needle bar.

Loosen wing nut and reposition the tube so that the needles are just peeking out the bottom. Re-tighten wing nut.
