NGCP completes restoration of transmission lines in Visayas As of 6:14PM yesterday, 16 October 2013, all 230-kV, 138-kV, and 69-kV transmission and sub-transmission lines and substations of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) in Visayas have been operating under normal conditions. All restoration works in areas affected by the earthquake have been completed. Normalization of the system came after the restoration of the Catigbian-Carmen 69-kV line at 6:14PM yesterday. NGCP assures the public that it is ready to conduct similar expedited restoration activities to ensure reliable power transmission services. The corporation is also continuously taking necessary preparations and precautions to minimize the impact of succeeding disasters on NGCP operations and facilities. ###
