The Story of the WizKid Cloud Exploration

This is the story of a Wizkid. A Wizkid is someone who is able to understand,comprehend, and analyze different situations. This wizkid will go on cloud spotting explorations all the time when outside. Wiz is always in need of more explorers to help predict the weather. Exploring the outdoors in search of the next spectacular cloud formation is a very important task. Sometimes a Wizkid might sit on the front porch with sunglasses and begin to gaze at cloud formations. Wizkid can guess the weather before anyone in the family can. Can you help Wizkid explore? Wiz keeps a journal to capture and log findings, and you will too. Wiz is going on another exploration real soon. I hope you are ready to see the exploration sights and tell of them in your picture journal. After keeping the journal you can become a Wizkid too.

Game Directions
1. THe class has kept a weather journal over the school semester. In the Journal they have kept notes and pictures of cloud formations and the names of the clouds. 2. The object of the game is to reveal by the raising of your journal. Give the teacher the correct answer to Wizkid's question. 3. As the teacher operates the PowerPoint game, get ready to use your journal of notes on cloud formations to hold up the picture that is the answer to the question. 1. Wiz may even show a picture during the game as a hint given to you. Take a second to explain why you chose this answer. Remember to use the information from your cloud journal that you have been keeping.

Game Preparation
1. Cloud pictures: Your teacher may have provided you with a camera to take home. The picture that you gave your teacher from your tutorial Cloud Formations should already be in your possession. Give it to you teacher to make 3x5 copies, for the entire class to use. Each student should be given 5-6 varied cloud picture a piece, to place in cloud journal.. 2. Journal: A journal should have been kept by you over a period of time; as this journal will be needed for your exploration notes. 3. Decorate Journal: Your cloud journal should have creative pockets inside it. The student should have either by taping or pasting; cut construction sheet pieces to the inside of the writing journal cover. There should also be pockets attached to each left side page within the journal to hold your pictures. 4. Pictures: Take each picture and make sure you put your name on the cloud journal an on the backs of pictures. Underneath your name and put the name of the cloud on the back. 5. Handout: A handout will be passed out to each student to also paste inside the journal. Home
