1. A LETTER FROM THE COLONY

Using your background knowledge and historical sources, write a letter from the colony back home to England to a family member. Describe the conditions, daily life, the appearance, interactions with natives, food and water supplies, local animals and plants etc. It can be from the perspective of a convict or free settler.
2. CREATE A COLONIAL CHARACTER Historical Diagram showing the Subdivision of Australia

Choose a type of person typical to early Australian colonial settlement. eg convict, marine, native, free settler, surgeon, Governor etc. Create a Facebook prole or biography including personal details. Use the template provided.
3. INTRODUCED SPECIES

Choose one animal or plant species that was introduced to Australia around the time of British Colonisation. Write an information report including the following details:Natural habitat, appearance, diet, reproduction, behaviours Why was it introduced and by whom? How did it get here? What were the benets of introducing it? Is it suited to the Australian environment? Why? Why not? What impact has it had on Australian native species and the environment?
