Unit Objective

At the end of the unit students will be able to develop a chronologically sequenced process in both written and spoken forms.

Assessment Summative assessment: Students will receive a grade according to their performance in the tests to be taken throughout the semester, as it is explained in the course syllabus. Formative assessment: Throughout the semester, the following activities will be conducted and will provide students with feedback about their performance. Writing assignments: students will work on at least one assignment per unit, for which they will develop a draft in class, will receive feedback and continue improving their piece through process writing. Examples of these assignments include: personal letters, analyses, definition and process paragraphs and a recipe. Presentation: Students will prepare a short presentation to be held in class to show a process in unit 8. Participation: a number of speaking activities will be held, and students will be encouraged to contribute and develop their points in class discussions.
