Lesson structure: Time Introduction 10.3010.35am We have been looking at features and changes in the day sky and night sky. You have painted different landscapes. What are they? Desert, lake, beach Body In this lesson we will be observing (looking at) features of landscapes. A landscape = everything you can see as you look out across the land (like thru a window). What do you see now when you look out the window? Tree, paved area, fence SHOW PIC FARM LANDSCAPE What can you see? Trees, sky, fences etc This is a farm landscape. What other types of places (landscapes) are there? beach, mountains, city Some landscapes are: (show word cards) NATURAL mountains in the country BUILT by people cities MANAGED by people farms/parks. MANAGED landscapes grown by nature but controlled/managed by people. SHOW SLIDESHOW TYPES OF LANDSCAPES -What type of landscape is this? Garden, city, park Do you think it would be NATURAL, BUILT, MANAGED?
