I am requesting funding for the South Western Judicial Circuit Family Violence
Council, Inc. in FY201 O. The location ofthe project is the Department of
SociologylPsychology, 800 GSW University Dr., Americus, GA 31709. The purpose of
the program is to provide for the hiring of a domestic violence advocate, whose primary
responsibility would be to protect victims by assisting them in filing for Temporary
Restraining Orders and scheduling a hearing for a twelve-month protective order.
