206 community Vet Centers are located in all 50 states,

the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico,
and the U.S.Virgin Islands and
were established by congress in 1979.

• To receive services, eligible veterans
and their families are those who
served on active duty in support of or
in a combat theater during:
– World War II
– Korean War
– Vietnam War
– Lebanon
– Grenada
– Panama
– Gulf War
– Somalia
– Bosnia
– Kosovo
– Afghanistan
– Iraq
– including forward combat areas
and/or other combat operations

• Active Reserve service

members and their families.
• Active duty service members
and their families.
• Vet Center services and
programs are provided at
no cost.
